Equipment of Eden

A variety of new weapons exists in the Spirits of Eden campaign setting. The warlike past of Eden’s cultures led to an increase in new, different and sometimes bizarre weapons to surprise and outflank enemies with. Not only that, but the magical nature of Eden creates new minerals and herbs and other exotic oddities that the people can take advantage of. Some, like the heat stone, are convenient and rather common replacements for small things, like the need to make a fire to heat small amounts of food.

Adventuring Gear

Item Price Weight
Heatstone 5 gp 1 lbs
Darts (20) 1 gp 2 lbs

Descriptions

Heatstone: A rock empowered by a fire spirit, usually through a mishap. A Heatstone contains some of the living fire of the spirit inside of it. Small plates and kettles or pots can be laid upon a Heatstone to heat their contents as though by a small fire. If two heat stones are rubbed together vigorously, they crumble, but offer some of their heat to the user. This gives the user a +1 item bonus to Endurance checks to resist cold weather.

Darts: Sharp piercing ammunition, darts are used with blowpipes. They are easy to load and shoot.

Pata Gauntlet: A gauntlet with a long, slashing blade attached to it. It can supplement an unarmed fighting style quite well.

Urumi: A very unorthodox longsword, this weapon is a sword handle with the blade composed of many flexible bands of steel, strong enough to slash powerfully but flexible enough to coil when not using.

Butterfly Swords: Slightly longer than daggers, these blades have protective handles and crossguard. They are said to follow the movements of the unarmed hand, and are used in pairs.

Hook Swords: Made to be wielded as a pair, these swords have hooked edges that bite deep into enemies.

War Fan: A metal fan sharp as a blade, often wielded in pairs. As good for a hot summer day as for as battlefield.

Skirmish: If you move more than 3 squares without shifting before making an attack with this weapon, it deals +1 damage.

Sweeping: If you use this weapon to knock an opponent prone, you have a +1 bonus to the damage roll with the weapon.
